The roullout of Android 7.1.1 Nougat began a few days back. Android is famous for dedicatedly offering updates and patches for its base operating system. The reports have come from several General Mobile 4G (Android One) users who have already received the update.

It was previously stated that the final update by Google will roll out toe the Pixel, Nexus, and Android One devices on December 6. However, as suggested by the reports above, the update might already have started being offered. The stable update of Android 7.1.1 Nougat was first reported AndroGuider. They suggested that the Android update had come out for General Mobile 4G users. The report came with a screenshot proof of the update offered, by an Android One user in Turkey.

The screenshot suggests that the new update is sized at 240.6 MB. It has been rolled out to strengthen phone security and bug fixes. The new update also comprises the December security patch. However, this patch still has not been listed on Google’s Android Security Bulletin.

Vodafone Australia had also mentioned that Android 7.1.1 Nougat would only be rolled out on December 6 itself. The said rollout for the software update was listed for Nexus 6P. The size was pegged to be around 650 MB (bigger than the actual update as reported by the screenshot). Google had not announced the official date for the rollout to the users and fans.

As the rollout of the latest update has already begun in Turkey, Google may soon make an official announcement for the Android 7.1.1 Nougat and December security patch. This news also means that Nexus and Pixel devices of Google should also be receiving this new update in the upcoming days itself.
